James Greiner

(Piano) James Greiner is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College. An accomplished classical composer and pianist, James is well suited to help beginner, intermediate, or concert-level pianists. James has also worked as a session keyboardist, which afforded him the opportunity to become versed in many different musical styles. Ben Gmetro

(Guitar) Since graduating from the University of Akron in 2001 with a B.A. in music performance, Ben Gmetro has been teaching guitar, bass and trombone. Ben enjoys teaching students of all ages, and tailoring the lessons to fit the student's interests and tastes while reinforcing musical fundamentals. As a producer, songwriter and performer, Ben has collaborated with many area artists and bands, leading to numerous national releases and tours.
Melissa Taddie

(Violin) Melissa is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory, where she earned a master's degree and a professional studies certificate in violin performance. Previous honors include prizes in the Great Composers Competition Series, the White Lake Festival Competition, the Boston Conservatory Honors Competition, the Western Michigan Concerto Competition, and an award for DownBeat Magazine's "Best Classical Soloist". In addition to her active performance career, Melissa has taught students in various after-school and private lesson programs in the Boston area. She is looking forward to sharing her experience with students at Northwoods Music!
Michael Wilson

(Guitar) Michael Wilson is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor in Music. Michael has been a guitar instructor in the Cleveland area for over 8 years. He studied classical guitar at the Cleveland Institute of Music as well as jazz with renown guitarist Bob Fraser. Michael has also appeared on numerous international releases and a music video featured on MTV2. Michael is an active touring guitarist for international bands, and is currently a member of Metal Blade Records recording artist System Divide.
Laura Simna

(Violin Viola, and Piano) Laura Simna earned a Master of Music in Violin Performance from The Ohio State University, where she studied with Dr. Kia-Hui Tan. She also holds a Master of Arts in String Pedagogy from The Ohio State University, earned under the supervision of Dr. Robert Gillespie. Laura received a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from Case Western Reserve University with studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Laura has also studied piano since the age of 5 and has won numerous piano scholarships and awards. Laura performs regularly with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout northeast and central Ohio. She is active in premiering and performing new music in addition to her work with area orchestras. Along with classical music, Laura performs in a wide range of genres including folk, bluegrass, jazz and acoustic rock.
Matthew Horwich

(Saxophone) Matthew Horwich has taught alto, tenor, soprano and baritone saxophones, theory and harmony for over 15 years, with a strong emphasis on technique, intonation and style. He teaches beginner to advanced students in the styles of classical, jazz and R&B. He has taught at five music schools, as well as serving on the faculty at Tri-C, and currently teaches music in Cleveland Heights public schools.
Matthew received his Bachelor's degree in Music from The Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University in 1998. There he played first alto in CWRU Symphonic Winds and CIM Wind Ensemble as well as lead alto for CWRU Jazz Ensemble. He also performs freelance in straight-ahead, contemporary and modern jazz, R&B, funk, soul, motown, blues, swing, pop, dance, disco, merengue, and salsa.
